Why should you use HAFP’s
Food Service Job Training
Project as a resource when
seeking employees?
Our graduates are well
trained
and ready for employment in the
food service industry.
Our intensive twelve-week program
includes training in the kitchen and
life skills in the classroom. The life
skills portion of our class trains
students in self-sufficiency, reliability,
responsibility and how to be a valuable
asset to any food service establishment.
Our students also get the hands-on
experience of preparing and serving
a six-course meal for up to five hundred
people everyday. Skills learned include
knife techniques, menu and recipe
planning and seasoning and spicing.
Successful completion of our rigorous
program proves dedication and
dependability!
Our training includes preparation for
passing the ServSafe examination for
safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
There are possible tax break incentives
for hiring one of our students: It depends
on the particular student but often times
employers can get significant tax
reductions for hiring participants in our
program. Just contact us for more
information.

We provide continuous
support:
Our program doesn’t end after
graduation. Lifetime job-placement
support and services are offered
to all of our students, including
post-graduation workshops and
trainings to boost skill level.
Beneficial to the community: By
assisting an individual on the road
to self-sufficiency and being involved
with our program you are contributing
to the fight to end hunger and poverty
in your community!

There are other ways you can support
our organization if you do not have a
need for new employees; hosting an
internship or participating in master
classes for HAFP alumni are among
some of the opportunities available
to your business.
