Our meals are served
Tuesday through Friday.
Tickets are required from all those entering the
dining room to eat between 11:30 and noon, except
those officially staying at the Hamilton Family Shelter.
Tickets may be obtained in the Panhandle at the corner
of Clayton and Oak. Map
Persons with disabilities and seniors eating between
noon and 1:30 pm, may enter the dining room to eat
upon their arrival and are not required to present
a ticket. (All seniors and disabled entering the dining
room to eat between 11:30 and noon must present a
ticket.)
Nobody entering the dining room to eat after 12 pm
is required to present a ticket.
Anyone in-line by 1:30 p.m and complying with the
Haight Ashbury Food Program dining room rules will
be permitted to enter the dining room to eat.
We also provide
food and beverages
for the annual Easter Sunrise
Ceremony atop Mount Davidson
in southwest San Francisco.

Food Service Project Statistics:
The Haight Ashbury Food Program (HAFP) Community Kitchen
served 61,195 hot nutritious lunchtime meal to anywhere
from 169 to 654 people four days per week during FY
2004, serving an average of 281 people per day.
The number of Seniors coming to us for meals continues
increase. We served an average of 672 meals per month
to Seniors representing about 15% of our meal service.
The number of Families with Children has also continued
to increase. We served an average of 417 meals per month
to parents and children, representing about 10% of our
meal service.
Two-thirds of HAFP's guests are homeless, they live
outside, on the street or in local parks (38%), in shelters
(19%) or in vehicles (10%). The remaining third have
housing, yet they often rely on HAFP's lunchtime meals
to help make ends meet and pay their rent.
